I know several moms who’ve completely automated their bill paying systems, but I like to have a tangible reminder of how much money I’m spending.
When I pay bills online or use my debit card, I tend to overspend or forget to write things down and incur extra charges from the bank as the result of too many overdrafts. So, I stick to checks and cash for my financial transactions. I figure the extra cost is offset by the savings from actually sticking to my budget each month.
As I was placing my order for additional checks last week, I came across personalized photo checks from Checks Unlimited. Wouldn’t this be a cute way to showcase your favorite family photo?
You wouldn’t be able to use professional pictures due to copyright restrictions, but photo checks could feature snapshots from your child’s birthday party or your last family vacation. You can order them with up to four different photos, so you wouldn’t even have to choose just one image for your checks.
I’ve ordered from Checks Unlimited several times in the past. I’ve always found their service to be prompt and efficient. There are often online coupon codes available that you can use to make the price for your checks much less than what your bank charges. (The photo checks don’t cost any more than the other types of checks the company offers, which is rare for these types of personalized products.)
I regularly order the duplicate checks from Checks Unlimited. I’ve found the quality to be comparable to the checks from my local bank and much nicer than the other discount check websites I’ve ordered from in the past.
What do you think? Are personalized photo checks with pictures of your kids something you would enjoy?
