I love shopping online. It’s the easiest way to find interesting, unique, and sometimes weird items that you might never stumble across if you’re just shopping at the local mall. Have you ever found something online that you weren’t sure if you liked or not, but that interested you enough that you told others about it? That’s what I’m doing today. Let me introduce you to Family Tree Design & Illustrations.

Family Tree has designed a series of artwork that features both real and mythical animals from around the world. One of the artists behind Family Tree, Alex Pearson, said: “The concept behind this project is to create a collaborative series of posters each by a different artist, yet the styles of which go very well together. Almost story-book like, I wanted to create something that is reminiscent of childhood, but not sappy.”

The first and second series they released were of mythical monsters: glow-in-the-dark Monster Friends. I checked them out on the site, and they are really cool! Series one has sold out, but you can still purchase series two.

fauna_friends_family_treeFamily Tree recently released their latest 2-color screen printed poster series, Fauna Friends – Japanimals. These are real animals, and each print shows the animal and their name in Japanese.

The artists for this series features art by four different artists, but you’d never be able to tell by looking at them side by side. Each print is 12″x18″ 2-color screen print on 100lb French “Red Hot” paper by Kangaroo Press.

I’m not sure if I’d hang it in my kids room, but it is pretty cool to look at considering that each picture was designed by a different artist!

I can’t stop smiling — this stuff is so whimsical, I love it!

Maybe not for a kids room (but I lovelovelove the top print cycling through town!!) but ideal for a young adult or a teen or even college room! Funky!

Want more from these artists and this site please!

I was just going over my options of how to turn my house into a more appealing place. I thought of wall art, and as cute as it is, my gut feeling was, why would i scribble my walls with a messy bunch of pics?

My daughter can’t stop talking about that photo- she made up a whole story about it! I wish they were all in a book instead of just for the walls!
