Leave The Sand On The Beach With Powder Pouch

If you have children you know that sand does not stay at the beach. Sand makes its way into your car, into every article of clothing that your child comes into contact with . . . even if you hose the kids off before you let them in the house or car. Wait, don’t tell me I’m the only mom who won’t let the kids set foot in the house before they get hosed off!

Okay, so you get what I’m saying, right? Sand is a nightmare. I adore the beach and would probably spend way more time there save for the mess. And now I might be able to. Because I recently found Powder Pouch. Powder Pouch lets you leave the sand on the beach.

How? Well, Powder Pouch is a 100% cotton bag filled with talc powder. It’s both washable and refillable too. Who knew that all you have to do is rub talc powder on sandy skin and that the sand would literally fall right off?! You can say goodbye to sandy kids, sandy cars, sandy diaper changes, and sandy homes.

I love the idea of Powder Pouch . . . I really do. I would easily pay $8.99 for this (plus $3 shipping) because I am not at all creative and couldn’t make my own.

BUT . . . if you are one of those do-it-yourselfers I am so jealous of, you could easily make it for a fraction of the cost.

So what do you think? Would you pay $12 to save you the pain and heartache of the sand that you can never seem to get rid of? Are you crafty enough to make your own?

Getting sand off is that easy? I never knew. I take my kids to the bath, and cleanup time after beach is a long affair. I know in advance.

Okay, I don’t doubt that the baby powder takes the sand off, but aren’t we exchanging one mess for another? So the sand’s off, but now the kids are covered in baby powder? Oh I get it, you use the powder to “wash” off the sand, then wipe off the powder. Mostly. Everybody is still going in the bathtub afterwards, though.
