As a first time mom, I think one of the things that surprised me the most was how much “stuff” you have to carry around when you have a baby. Even a simple trip to the store required an outfit change, snacks, bottles, diapers, wipes, and an array of toys.

A bag like this Kushies tote would have been a lifesaver for me when my son was smaller. Kushies markets their product as “the ultimate daycare/overnight bag” and I think it lives up to the hype.

I love how this bag has lots of compartments and includes labeled smaller insert bags for various purposes. This would be a wonderful bag to use when your child needs to go to daycare or is being watched by someone other than you.

(I remember my husband having a terrible time trying to locate items like diaper rash cream whenever he’d take my son out of the house. He also never seemed to remember that I wanted to keep the dirty clothes separate from the clean clothes instead of having to wash everything in the bag.)

As far as looks go, I think this bag could be a bit more stylish. I’d love to see the outside have more of a purse like appearance instead of resembling a child’s gym bag. But, since the product gets rave reviews on Amazon, I’m guessing my fellow moms have decided the bag’s functionality trumps its less than impressive appearance.

What kind of diaper bag do you use with your child? Do you like the idea of having separate labeled bags for everything or do you just toss everything in one bag and head out the door?
