Komplete Offers Healthy Meal Replacement Shakes for the Whole Family

Breakfast may be the most important meal of the day, but no one in my house qualifies as a morning person. We’d all rather sleep an extra 15 minutes than wake up to eat a decent breakfast.

Trying to force my son to eat something is a constant battle. He doesn’t like actual food in the morning, but he will drink something. So, I’ve been experimenting with smoothies and various meal replacement shakes for the two of us. (Hubby doesn’t care about breakfast at all and I’ve given up trying to change his habits.)

One interesting option for a quick and easy breakfast is Komplete Ultimate Shakes from Kate Farms. These are dairy-free, gluten-free, soy-free, and vegan meal replacement shakes that feature a blend of 21 superfoods with antioxidants.

The shakes come in three flavors: Cocoa Fudge, Vanilla Bliss, and Jav’a Latte. My son wasn’t fond of the Cocoa Fudge or Jav’a Latte flavors, but I got him to drink the Vanilla Bliss shake with no problems.

I thought the Cocoa Fudge shake was a decent morning meal, although it was much thinner than I expected it to be. It was closer to a glass of milk than a smoothie or milkshake. I’m not a huge meat eater, so I really liked that the shake was so high in protein. (The Cocoa Fudge flavor has 19 grams of protein, while the Vanilla Bliss and Jav’a Latte shakes have 17 grams of protein.)

Another plus for the Kate Farms shakes is that they are shelf stable for up to one year. So, you can store a few extras in your car, in your child’s locker, or in your desk at work to make sure you can enjoy proper nutrition on the go.
