Bowling is a great family-friendly activity, but it can be cost-prohibitive if you’re taking a large group. Even a family of four can expect to spend about $50 for a night of bowling once shoe rental fees and the cost of snacks are taken into account.
Kids Bowl Free aims to make bowling more affordable by giving registered participants access to a website where they can print coupons for free games of bowling all summer long.
When I first heard about Kids Bowl Free, I thought it sounded too good to be true. But, I can assure you that the website does work. There is no charge to register and registered kids receive coupons for up to two free games of bowling at the participating center nearest their home. The deal is good throughout the summer.
If you want to take your family bowling on a regular basis, it’s smart to purchase a family pass through the Kids Bowl Free website. The family pass option gives you up to two free games per day per person listed on the pass. You can have up to four adults on your family pass, including parents, grandparents, older siblings, and babysitters.
The exact savings from Kids Bowl Free will vary depending upon the number of adults bowling and whether or not your center includes the shoe rental fee in the value of the pass.
The center in our area charges extra for shoes. So, we purchased a family bowling pass to cover games for my husband and I. Then, I ordered shoes online for everyone in our family. We were able to bowl the entire summer for just the cost of drinks and snacks for each visit. This summer, all I need to do is buy a new family pass and slightly bigger shoes for my son.
Kids Bowl Free accepts sign-ups throughout the summer. The earlier you register, however, the greater your opportunity for savings will be. Early sign-ups may also qualify you for additional promotions. When I purchased my family pass last year, I received $20 in Restaurant.com gift certificates for no additional charge.
