Kidorable Themed Outerwear
Is your child an Accessorista?
I think that’s a new term that I’ve just coined. An accessorista is a kid who wants everything matchy-matchy, particularly around a theme.
Kidorable is a company that caters to the accessorista – or accessoristo as the case may be.
Kidorable makes super cute rain gear, boots, umbrellas, hats, gloves, backpacks and more – all around specific themes that are childhood favorites.
The picture above is from Kidorable’s butterfly line. This would be one of my daughter’s favorites. She’s all rainbows, unicorns, butterflies and sunshine these days. The butterfly line is sure to cheer up even the dreariest of rainy days.
The girls’ themes include the butterfly, ladybug, fairy, princess, ballerina, lotus, mermaid and bee. I think my favorite is the lotus, because it’s a little unique.
For boys, Kidorable also offers several lines – dinosaur, pirate, fireman, and frog. But my personal favorite for boys has got to be their new Space Hero theme. I love how they designed the matching coat hanger to look like a rocket ship. When my son was into Buzz Lightyear, he’d have been all over this!
I really like the amount of detail that they put into each item in the line. These pirate boots, for example, are just chock full of color and imagery. Even the little loop to hang the boots has a skull and crossbones detail!
Kidorable items fit kids from about a year old up to age 6 or 7.
Their pricing is about what you’d expect from a boutique outfit. The boots are about $29; the raincoats are $36, and the umbrellas are $13.50. We don’t get enough rain here in Texas to go the full Monty with rain gear and accessories, but if you live in Seattle, you’d get your money’s worth out of these cute clothes.
And Suri Cruise was spotted wearing Kidorable out and about with Katie Holmes, so if you’re trying to emulate celebrity babies…this is the way to go!
