Keep Your Child’s Lunch Safe With iCOOLer

Somebody recently asked me if I’d heard of the iCOOLer. I had not. They went on to say they read that Dallas Morning News reported that 9 out of 10 lunches are kept at unsafe temperatures and put kids in danger of food borne illnesses. Wow! That was shocking to me! Since my son just started preschool, I wanted to know more about iCOOLer.

So what is iCOOLER? It’s an insulated lunchbox that has non-toxic gel packs on all six sides. You simply put it in the freezer (opened is recommended) overnight, and add your lunch in the morning. By the time lunch rolls around, your lunch will still by very cold. And let’s face it, there’s nothing worse than a room-temperature ham and cheese sandwich. Blech!

The iCOOLer comes in 3 different sizes, will keep foods cold for up to 12 hours, and can be cleaned easily with a damp towel or sponge. If you or your children have medication that needs to be kept cold, iCOOLer is also a great way to store temperature sensitive medications.

Other features is that it does not leak, it’s made of stain resistant, highly durable material with a heavy-duty zipper and built in handle. There is also built in name and contact information card underneath the logo on the front of the cooler.

You can purchase an iCOOLer for $24.95 or $29.95 on the website or on amazon.com.

Would you pay $25 – $30 for a lunchbox that will help keep your children safe from food borne illnesses?

the design does not look very appealing to a toddler, but the virtues of it talk to moms.

Hmm. Interesting concept. I’m always putting mini freezer packs in my kids’ “insulated” lunch bags (yeah, right) to keep the mayo from going bad in the sandwiches and the juice box cool.

Lately they are complaining that the freezer pack is making the sandwich moist and a little soggy. This is even with using a hard plastic container, not a sandwich bag. I wonder if this is a better option?

BUT, who has room in their freezers for one, let alone two, lunch boxes? Not me.
