Kameleon Jewelry
When it comes to jewelry, I tend to buy variations on the same theme.
Nearly everything I buy is silver. All necklaces hit in about the same place on my body and are roughly the same size. Bracelets are usually sparkly with lots of different colored gems.
But the most important theme is affordability. I love jewelry, but my mommy schedule of karate classes and PTA meetings doesn’t really lend itself to an extensive jewelry wardrobe. So when I buy jewelry, I like the items to be versatile and economical.
I’m all about bang for my jewelry buck.
Kameleon Jewelry is a really neat concept. They offer a full line of sterling silver jewelry “bases” – necklaces, pendants, rings, earrings, even sunglasses – that utilize interchangeable gems called Jewel Pops.
A small sampling of the Jewel Pops is shown in the picture above. You pick the jewelry base and then you purchase the Jewel Pops separately that you want.
Have you ever purchased a necklace that you really love, only to find yourself wishing you had it in 7 other colors?
Kameleon Jewelry solves that very problem!
I love the bases that Kameleon has to choose from. This ring is one of my favorites. You can dress it up or down with the Jewel Pop you select.
I also love this pendant style, because I love simple circle patterns. And how fun is it to pick out the Jewel Pop you want?
The prices for the bases range widely – the pendants go from $22 all the way up to over $100. Rings are about $55 to $100. You get the idea. The Jewel Pops are in the $30-$40 range each.
This isn’t a super cheap jewelry line. But that I can buy a couple of really cute pieces and be able to wear them with all of my outfits is appealing to me.
