If there’s one thing I know about kids, particularly little boys, it’s that they like wearing capes. They’ll try to make capes out of anything! My son’s favorite is trying to get me to tie his blanket around his neck (which doesn’t work because of the material). He always tells me he wants a cape so he can use his super powers. And that’s why I flipped when I came across Power Capes!
Power Capes sells capes, t-shirts and other accessories to make your child a superhero. They have capes with initials or emblems on them available in every color in the rainbow that you can purchase and have shipped immediately.
But they also sell fully customizable capes and accessories too! You can pick the color and what goes on the cape. You can also purchase matching blaster cuffs and a superhero mask as well.
The company also believes in giving back and helping the community. Their Heart Heroes program is an example of this. Every year approximately 40,000 infants are born in the U.S. with congenital heart defects (CHD). How scary it must be for children to be going through surgeries and staying in the hospital, and occasionally without their parents there for comfort.
Heart Hero Capes were created with the hope that all children visiting the hospital or their cardiologist will feel invincible wearing their cape — have super-hero powers — and that their parents will be comforted knowing that the arms that always protect them are momentarily being substituted with the super powers of the cape. You can donate $25 and a cape will be sent to a child who needs it. Pretty cool, huh?
Would your child like his or her own superhero cape?
