I’m in Love with Pilot FriXion Pens

In my house, it seems like I’m always buying pens. Between my son and my cat, I probably go through a package of pens every week. Of all the pens I’ve tried, Pilot’s FriXion pens are my current favorites.

The FriXion line is Pilot’s newest offering. Pilot FriXion pens write smoothly and are comfortable in your hand. The bright gel ink colors add a fun touch to mundane tasks like writing a grocery list or paying bills.

The erasable ink aspect is the coolest part of this product. The ink in the Pilot FriXion pens is erasable by friction, so there’s no messy eraser marks on the paper you’re using. You erase the ink with the gray plastic end of the pen. It took me a little bit to figure that out because I was expecting the eraser to look like a regular rubber eraser.

Unlike most of the erasable pens I’ve tried in the past, the ink actually erases completely.

My only complaint about the Pilot FriXion line is that these fabulous pens don’t come in enough colors! They are great for drawing and doodling, but only come in black, blue, red, lime green, purple, pink, orange, and brown.

I’d love to see this product with all the colors you’d find in a 24 pack of Crayola crayons. If they came in a full range of colors, I’d be first in line to buy two complete sets. One for my son and one for me, because we’re both territorial when it comes to our craft materials!

Cool! I use pencils most of the time for helping my students with their writing because I want to be able to erase or add to a comment. These pens will be a perfect substitute. I can’t wait to try them!
