iGift Thanks iPhone App

iGift Thanks iPhone App

I posted several days ago about the lost art of the thank you card.

But really, isn’t it just saying “thank you” generally that has become a lost art?

When I send a gift to someone, I don’t really care in what format I receive a thank you. As long as I receive it. Whether it’s a message on my Facebook wall, a text message, or a quick email, I just.want.recognition that it was received.

I’m pretty easy!

Once again, iPhone apps are making it easier to send that thank you message – in a cute and personalized way.

iGift Thanks is a new iPhone app that makes this a fun and easy process.

First, take a photo with your iPhone or use one from your stored photos.

Second, add a frame to the photo and a message to the sender.

Third, send off the picture message and you’re done!

The iGift Thanks app does some other cool things. It keeps track of all of the gifts received by occasion and for which gifts you’ve already sent thank you messages. You can post the message to Facebook or Twitter in addition to email or text.

You can even tag the photos sent with the gift giver’s name.

So if you’re “in the moment” and you don’t want to have to write down that Aunt Susie got your son a new book for his birthday…don’t! Send an iGift Thanks message that very second and scratch something off your to-do list.

This seems like a handy little app. And now that Verizon has announced the iPhone, I’ll be snapping one of these up as soon as I can get my hands on an iPhone!

You can download iGift Thanks from the App Store for .99.

This is great! Love it. Only one problem, most gift-givers in my family (Grandma, Auntie Em, etc.) are older and don’t have e-mail or certainly don’t know how to use it … and would be offended the thanks didn’t come the old-fashioned way.

But for people our own age, it’s perfect!

I second Julie. I am the modern one in my family, as the only computer touter. When i want to share the joys of parenting, i resort to phone conversations. But this is something that makes me want to buy an iphone for my mom.

Wow that’s really an awesome app! I knew I had to get one for my iPhone when you mentioned scratching something off my to-do list. It’s good to find an app that actually teaches us good manners LOL.
By the way, if it’s alright, you would like to try one of my current favorite apps, Intuition. Tagged as mom’s personal assistant, it’s a task management app that has many features designed to help us moms. It’s really easy to use and it looks cute, too. Plus, it’s free! You can check it out on http://www.iconapps.com/product.htm

Those of you who enjoy using this app on your phone will surely be interested in Thankuz, an upcoming Web app that allows you to send ‘Thank You’ notes to anyone for anything, not just gifts. Not only that, but you can also receive and track notes from others. It’s fun to do, easy to use and shows you care! Feel free to send feedback to http://thankuz.com once the app goes live.
