If You Have An Infant, Check Out Pognae Baby Carriers

If I had to pick one piece of baby gear I couldn’t live without, it would probably be my baby carrier. In fact when the twins were little, I’d wear two separate carriers and carry them both around!Baby carriers are mommy must haves, and I want to introduce you to one that’s new to the US, but is a huge hit in Europe and Asia. It’s the Pognae Baby Carrier.

pognae_baby_carrier“What’s pognae?” you might be thinking. Pognae means comfort, security and warmth in Korean, and by the looks of it, that’s exactly what it provides.

Now I just bought your standard-run-of-the-mill baby carrier; nothing fancy, but it worked. I know there are lots of expensive baby carriers out there with all sorts of bells and whistles. This one is on the expensive side, but the features definitely seem worth the price.

The Pognae Baby Carrier has an ergonomic design, breathable air mesh shoulder straps, patented mesh cooling vent and shock-resistant support belt. So it’s comfortable for both you and the baby.

The mesh cooling vent is a pretty cool feature! It helps you and your baby stay dry and comfortable on warm days. Simply unzip the outer layer which allows fresh air to flow in through the mesh lining.

The carrier also comes with an attachable headrest for the baby and pouch for your keys, wallet, etc. Additionally, you can purchase organic drool pads that your baby can chew on. The pad snaps to the shoulder straps and provide a sanitary way to keep your baby busy.

Pognae baby carriers have eight different designs, and cost $89.00. Reviews that I read seemed very positive, and this is definitely a carrier I would tell a new mom to check out. What about you? Would you recommend Pognae to new moms?

This looks like a fabulous carrier. My favorites for newborns are always a ring sling and then the mei tai or a carrier like the pognae when they have decent head support around 3 months onto toddler age! That’s a great price, too.

I never did learn to adapt to wearing these very well. Seemed cumbersome and I took forever getting it on right. It seemed faster to unload a stroller from the car for a trip to the mall than to haul the sling with me and then try to tie myself and my baby up in it in public. I guess I’m just uncoordinated!

I envy the moms I see using them with ease now.

A baby carrier is what saved my sanity with my previous two colicy kids. It was as if i could zip them back into the womb and shut them up for just a little while longer. I’ll look into these.
