Sometimes when we are in the car, my son complains about being bored. I always seem to forget to switch out the movie for the DVD, and after watching the same one a thousand times, he asks me not to turn it on again! While attending a blog conference this past summer, I was given something that keeps him busy for a really long time . . . one of the I Spy Wonder Tubes by Briarpatch.
These wonder tubes are really cool, and yes, slightly addicting. So what is it? It’s a collectible game that’s self contained. Each tube contains glitter, sand, and little items that are hidden among the sand and glitter. Along with every tube comes different riddles that can be solved by finding all of the missing items.
Available in 6 different colors and 3 different groups, at $4.99 they make a perfect stocking stuffer! I probably spend more time searching for all of the little items than my son does!
And if your child enjoys I Spy games as much as my son does, then you will definitely want to check out the I Spy page on scholastic.com. There you will find I Spy books, DVDs, a TV show on HBO Family, a slew of puzzles and board games, video games, and even I Spy online games!
There’s even an I Spy app for iPad that is a lot of fun to play. It’s only $3.99, and both me and all three of my kids enjoy sitting down and playing it all together.
Are your kids fans of I Spy?
