Hot Mama Gowns: The PERFECT Breastfeeding Gown!

If you’ve ever had a baby, you know how attractive and comfortable those hospital gowns are that you get to wear after delivery (she says as sarcastically as possible!). Of course, I’m kidding! Those gowns leave you cold, smelling like bleach, and itchy. I just wish I would’ve known about Hot Mama Gowns when I had my babies!

You’ve gotta check out these breastfeeding gowns. The designer of the gowns, Deidrea, has this to say:

“The standard hospital gown was far from stylish, comfortable, or functional.  The gown got in the way of skin to skin contact and breastfeeding, two things that were very important to me.  I couldn’t wait to change into something that was comfy and allowed me to bond with my baby girl.  Pajamas weren’t really an option right after delivery, so I started to brainstorm about the ideal maternity gown that would make me feel good (and look good).”

And that’s how Hot Mama Gowns was born. These gowns are stylish, comfy, and  made of 100% pure organic cotton…perfect for your brand new baby to lie against.  These gowns also make breastfeeding easy and discreet (unlike hospital gowns). And yes, they are hospital / birthing center friendly with short sleeves and a full coverage snap-open back.

You’ve gotta check out these gowns! They are a bit expensive ($89), but each comes beautifully packaged in a custom Hot Mama Gowns’ box, complete with sparkly pink tissue, so they’d make a perfect gift for a mom-to-be.

But don’t freak out about the price, because there’s also not quite perfect gowns that you can pick up for just $15! With a few minor imperfections, if you are okay with them (each imperfection is described), you can grab these gowns at a steal. I’m a cheapskate, so this is what I would do!

What do you think of Hot Mama Gowns? My sister is having a baby in a couple of months so I’m definitely thinking that this would be a great gift!

I could never see myself paying $80 for a hospital gown! But I would certainly get one for $15, especially after experiencing the gowns that have broken snaps, ties missing, etc.

Not just for birthing moms, this might be a great gift for any woman headed to the hospital for any surgery that keeps her in hospital for a few days.

I love it when you post things like this! I want one so bad! I am going to look into the $15 dollar ones as soon as I am done typing this. They are so cute and I love how functional they look!

I had one of these sent to me but I didn’t end up using it, and had a hombirth anyway! So I sent it to a friend. I think if I were going to have a hospital birth, I’d totally go for one! :)

I got a Hot Mama Gown for Christmas, and can’t wait to wear it during my birth (sometime in late Feb / early March). The gown is absolutely beautiful, and comes from an awesome company. It is well worth the money!
