With back to school season finally here, now is the time to start thinking about how to encourage your children to develop good study habits. If your kids have trouble keeping all of their assignments in order, this homework organizer looks like it might help.
The organizer has four legal sized pockets for holding papers; two clear pockets for small supplies like glue sticks, pencils, or erasers; a large display window for the lunch menu; a dry erase calendar; and Velcro straps for holding poster board for larger projects.
The organizer is designed to hang up with self adhesive hooks like the Command hooks from 3M. It will fit on the back of a door, so you don’t have to worry about finding space for it in your child’s crowded room.
You can purchase the homework organizer for $25.99 on the Organize-It website. The organizer comes in the primary color design featured above, as well as pastel pink and fushia/zebra print options.
I have a similar organizer in my home office to keep track of all of my writing work. It’s very handy to have everything in one central spot, so I’m thinking this would be a good purchase for my son. He didn’t have much in the way of homework last year, but I’ve heard third grade is when the teachers at his school start giving out regular assignments.
If your child needs close supervision to make sure his homework gets done, you could hang the organizer in the kitchen so you can monitor what projects are due as you’re making dinner.
