Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration™ Lotion Sunscreen Feels Amazing
I have a couple of problems with the sun. First of all, I love it. I love the beach, I love being outside in my yard, and if I had hours of free time and some good company, I could spend those hours hiking with friends and family.
I’m also very, very pale and my skin is generally pretty dry, so I desperately need sunscreen (not that there’s anyone out there who shouldn’t wear it, especially if they’ll be out in the sun for hours) and yet, I hate the way it feels on my skin.
Though I won’t say I enjoy the hassle of putting on sunscreen, I have to say that I do really like the Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration™ Lotion Sunscreen (SPF 50, y’all!). If you don’t want SPF 50, you can get 12 or 30, too.
The texture really is silky. It’s light and gel-like, and it’s almost like putting on a regular lotion (not a thick cream). My skin feels moisturized after I use it, and I didn’t burn with it on (of course, you still have to re-apply about every two hours).
The smell isn’t overpowering at all. Instead, it’s light and fresh, and it doesn’t have that typical “sunscreen” smell to me.
I can’t emphasize enough how I appreciate how well it spreads over my skin, either. Normal sunscreens feel tacky and thick, and I end up missing spots because it just doesn’t smooth on well (plus those tend to leave a white coating on my skin). There’s no weird coating here, and I don’t worry as much about it not spreading out the way it should.
