I LOVE getting flowers. They make me happy and can make any room that they are in more cheerful. Problem is, of course, that they die. They are too expensive to buy on a regular basis, though I wish I could!

I also think flowers are a great gift to give – and recipients are always very happy with them. I really like the idea of Hallmark’s Blooming Expressions because these are flowers you can keep forever!

Have you seen the Blooming Expressions commercials? The flowers are really cool! The flower (available in a variety of colors) comes in a sleek white vase. There’s a button on the vase, and when you press it, the flower blooms to reveal a hidden message inside. There are eight messages to choose from, and the messages are special and meaningful; exactly what you would expect from Hallmark.

I was lucky enough to have gone to a blog conference a few weeks ago and we received a Blooming Expression along with some other goodies. I think that these would be a perfect gift for a mother, daughter, friend or other important person in your life. On the Hallmark site, they cost $14.95, so they’re affordable as well. Pick up a Hallmark gift card and for $20 you have a thoughtful gift that will be treasured forever!

If you want to see exactly how the flower blooms, you can watch a video on the Hallmark site. When you pick a flower that you want, there’s a tab on the page that says “Video”. It’s only 13 seconds long, but it will bring a smile to your face!

I got a one of these flower blooming messages from my in-laws for my birthday. Personally I am not a nicknack kinda person and thought it was alright, but a big waste of money. Would have been happy with a hallmark card and a gift card to Michael’s.
This is great for people who like to collect stuff, but I feel like I am now stuck with something that serves no purpose other then to amuse my 3 year old by pressing the open and close button a half a billion times until the batteries wear out. Another dust collector I don’t need.
But if your into this sort of thing, then it might be a great gift idea for you or someone who likes stuff like this. But I got to say I was not thrilled by it! Not to mention it doesn’t even smell like a flower. I give it two stars out of ten for creativity.

Agree with above comments. Not impressed with them. I got one too and thought it was non- creative, overpriced junk
