Haiden Surf
Remember when the term “surfer boy” would conjure up images of…I don’t know…Spicolli from Ridgemont High?
It was not a positive connotation, right?
Somehow, though, in the last decade or so, surfer boys have become cool. And with that – surfer decor and surfer clothes have also become cool. Pottery Barn Kids consistently carries a line of surf bedding now for both boys and girls.
Today, though, we’re talking about surf wear for boys. I have to admit, I love the surfer look. The new kind – not the Spicolli kind. And I think it looks adorable on boys.
A company called Haiden Surf makes an exclusive surf-inspired line of clothing for babies, toddler and boys.
Their line includes board shorts, rash guards, hats and more.
The board shorts are chock full of brightly-colored patterns reminiscent of the psychedelic era, the South Pacific and other surf-y things. They’re not cheap, though: a pair of boardies runs about $40 – even for the little guys.
Haiden has a pair of branded flip-flops with ankle straps so they don’t slip off your little one’s feet when they’re running.
If you want your kid to rock his best Ashton Kutcher…or Kevin Federline circa 2006…rustle him up one of these surfer trucker hats.
Boys still sporting onesies will enjoy Haiden’s rash guard onesie for $36.50. It’s available in sizes up to 24 months.
Haiden Surf’s line is not cheap, but if you’re looking for authentic surf wear, it’s definitely worth a look. You can check out the entire Haiden Surf collection at the Haiden Surf website.
