Whenever I see the back to school displays being set up in stores, I always think about how much fun I had picking out my backpack each year. Getting the perfect bag was extremely important to me. Not only did my bag have to be cool, it had to be something totally unique.
Gutzy Gear capitalizes on your child’s desire for self expression by offering a fun, yet temporary, way to personalize any backpack. After you purchase padded Gutzy Gear straps for your child’s backpack, he or she can choose from one of the many different patch packages that are available.
Gutzy Gear has patch designs for both boys and girls, as well as a few designs that are more gender neutral in nature. Most are related to various hobbies, themes, and special interests. My son liked the music and food themed patches the best. Personally, I thought the “Toadally Green” and “Can It” Earth Day themed patches were adorable.
When I first heard about this product, I was thinking it would involve lots of sewing and ironing – two things I hate with a passion. Fortunately, the straps are easy to attach to any backpack. The Velcro on the patches holds them securely, but it’s not hard to remove the patches if your child wants to rearrange the collection or swap patches with a friend.
If your child doesn’t want to use Gutzy Gear straps on his or her backpack, they will fit on scooters, guitar straps, and car seat belts. The patches themselves could also be Velcroed to lots of different surfaces, depending upon what your child wants to do.
What do you think of Gutzy Gear? Is this a concept your child would like?
