I don’t know about you, but I have some picky eaters in my house. If it doesn’t look like something they want to eat, chances are they won’t even try it. I’ve realized though, that if I make things look fun, say cut them into fun shapes, they are more apt to at least try things.
There was even a 2012 study done by Cornell University that found that kids eat healthier with a little creativity and by making eating fun. That’s why I can’t wait to try FunBites out!
What exactly is FunBites? It’s a kitchen tool that instantly cuts kids’ food into bite sized fun shapes. FunBites packs come in two different shapes: Cube It! and Luv It!, or you can purchase a pack that has one of each.
Each pack includes its own cutter with curved blades that quickly cuts food into small bites. The matching popper instantly pops the food out, ready for your little ones to try out.
FunBites can be used on kid-friendly foods like pancakes, cheese, bread, fruit and burgers. It seems simple to use, too. You simply place the FunBites cutter on top of the food you want to cut up. Remove the popper top and set to the side. Then grab cutter handles on both sides, press down firmly and rock 5-6 times to cut through the food. Lift the cutter up, insert popper top and pop out the bite-sized pieces. Easy!
FunBites are BPA free and can be hand washed or can be placed safely on the top-shelf of your dishwasher.
They seem a bit pricey – you can purchase one for $12.99 or both for $22. I read reviews, and moms that tried it out seemed to love it. I think I’d be willing to try it out, would you?
