A few months ago, I told you about Funflectors - stylish reflectors that reflect light to help keep your kids safe. These are perfect for this time of the year when it gets dark so early, and the kids beg to play outside just a little longer. The same company that makes Funflectors, glimling, has recently introduced their newest product: funflector wraps.

These funflector wraps are very cool! If your kids love slap bracelets, they’ll love the new funflector wraps. And moms will love them, too, because each bracelet is also a safety reflector. I know this is something my kids would love to wear…and that they would actually keep on!

Why is this important? In the U.S., 7 out of 10 pedestrian accidents occur between 6 pm and 6 am, which throughout the year averages to the dark hours. Based on accident statistics, if about a third of Americans wore reflectors, about 1,500 lives could have been saved a year.

These bracelets are made of high quality 3M Scotchlite reflective material to protect your children in the dark. But they can also protect adults: they are long enough (13 1/2″) to go around the sleeve of an adult winter coat or around pant legs while biking. The wraps come in many colors, including orange, pink, purple, turquoise, green and black.

Each style costs less than $10, and you can purchase funflector wraps on the glimling website.

Such an easy, fun solution to help keep our kids safe!

What do you think of funflectors and funflector wraps? Are they products you would purchase for your kids?

With how much my boys like playing outside or walking/riding their bikes through the neighborhood I like this idea a lot!

These are great! All pedestrians should be made to wear them in the winter, especially! People out walking and crossing the streets in dark clothing have NO idea how invisible they really are to many motorists.

Great for kids, bike-riding, dog walking … !

Thank you for helping us spread the word on how easy and fun it is to be visible in traffic at night! My kids like to wear the wraps around their ankles. That makes them visible from all directions and since their feet are always in motion, the reflectors really stand out!

I agree, these would be great for bicyclists and adult pedestrians too!

Soon it will be spring and we will all be out on our bikes and I think these would be really useful for bicyclist visibility. You could wear them or attach them to your bike post.
