“Mom, I’m bored.” How many times a day do you hear that?! My kids have toys, books, movies, and a great big backyard to keep them busy and I still have to be their center of entertainment. But since I’ve been writing here, I’ve found some great advice on inexpensive ways to keep the kids busy, fun family date night ideas, and I’ve also run across some really cool toys. Toys I’d want to buy my kids if I didn’t have a moratorium on toys right now.

So I’ll share some of them with you…they aren’t too terribly expensive and they will get the kids moving. And when the kids move and play, they wear themselves out which makes for an early bedtime at our house!

Super Skipper

See that picture at the top of this post? That is the Super Skipper! Made by Kidoozie, the Super Skipper looks like it would be a blast! The kids can jump to the music as the pole revolves around the electronic base…if the pole hits you, you’re out! The Super Skipper has 3 adjustable height modes and 3 different speeds to skip to.

Monster Feet

Do you remember making these at home when you were a kid? We used coffee cans and string! Now you can get Monster Feet for your kids and it will bring back memories!Made by Toysmith, Monster Feet lets your kids step and stomp just like a monster. They can be used indoors or outside, and will hold support children up to 110 lbs. And at $8.99, they are inexpensive as well!

Splash Disk

Frisbee anyone? Made by Fat Brain Toys, this is the perfect pool game. You simply dunk the Splash Disc in water and let it fly! As it flies, it flings water…perfect to cool down with while working up a sweat. It’s soft, which makes for safe fun. If you don’t have a pool, just keep a bucket of water nearby to get it wet with.

These look like so much fun. the first one reminds me of atoy I had when I was young a Skip-It. Also love the Monster shoes! I also like to take my kid’s swimming to wear them out. :)

I think the rotating stick is really good. Reminds me of the game we palyed in camp, only the counselor held a broom stick and turned it around. might try this free version with my kids.
