The design on this Flip mini high definition camcorder is so user friendly: turn it on and then press the red button to record. If you want to fast forward or rewind, then use the arrows…the camcorder is super intuitive. Then, for downloading, just plug it in to your USB port. The Flip even has a build-in USB connector, so there’s never any hunting around for cords or attachments. Easy peasy.
For the techies out there, this little machine can capture 120 minutes of HD video on its 8GB hard drive (there are cheaper models that have smaller storage capacity), has a very wide aperture (2.4) that is great for those low light situations, and has a handy zoom.
While the zoom does work, it can be hard to keep your hand steady while zoomed in. There is, however, a tripod attachment, but that sort of defeats the instantaneousness of it. If you want to know more about all the specs, check out the flip website to find out the ins and outs.
