Finding a Modest Summer Swimsuit
Even though I’m not a huge fan of cold weather, I’d much rather dress in a sweater and jeans than shorts and a tank top. So, it’s not surprising that swimsuit shopping totally stresses me out.
My favorite swimsuit style has always been the tankini because it seems the most comfortable to wear all day long and I hate having to undress every time I need to step out of the pool to use the restroom. But, now that I’m self conscious about that fact that my body never quite snapped back after giving birth, I’d really prefer to be as covered up as possible.
I haven’t really decided on a swimsuit for this year yet, but I love the retro tankini top featured in this post. This design features adjustable straps, a flattering sweetheart neckline, shirred bodice, and a flirty ruffle edge. Removable bra cups are also provided.
I found the tankini on Jen Clothing, a website that specializes in modest clothing. The owner is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and chooses items that fit into the Mormon definition of modesty.
But, even if you’re not religious at all, the site has some stylish modest clothing options. In addition to swimwear, there are casual dresses, semi-formal dresses, tops, and skirts. The prices on most items seem fairly reasonable.
Have you picked out a new summer swimsuit yet? If so, share a link to the one you chose. If not, tell us what features you are looking for in a suit.
