Fashion Forms: A Backless, Strapless Bra

The holiday party time of the year is approaching, and that means a new cocktail dress or two, or maybe just a skin-bearing blouse and slacks. Either way, the last thing you want is your bra showing where is shouldn’t be. Which is why I am so intrigued by Fashion Forms’ Body Sculpting Backless Strapless Bra.

The Fashion Forms backless/strapless bra is just what it sounds like…but how does it work? Well, the bra is made from 100% transparent silicon, and it has adhesive wings to keep your bra stable without back closure or straps. If you wear a size A and B cup, it also includes feature a “bump pad” at the bottom, while larger sizes do not. The bra comes in both a nude color and black.

The bra features graduated foam padding for cleavage enhancement and a sweetheart neckline for those low-plunging necklines. The bra is made of seamless, rigid contour cups while underwires provide support.

The bra can be worn one of two ways: with or without the clear “wings”. If you keep the wings on, it provides more support. But if you have a dress with an entirely bare back, you can take the wings off and you won’t be able to see any straps at all.

Still confused? There’s a video on the site that shows exactly how the bra works.

I looked around online and it seems you can buy this bra at major department stores, but the cheapest I found it was via Amazon.com for $36, which is about the price you’d pay for a bra from a specialty store like Victoria’s Secret.

What do you think about this bra? I’m wondering if it’s sticky or would get really hot to wear against your skin since it’s silicon. Would you be willing to try it out?

I have tried something similar and it worked nicely but only for the first few wears. I didn’t find it to be too hot either.

This might be a great solution with girls with smaller, uh, girls. :) But I’m sure they can’t support sizes over a C-cup effectively, can they? I mean, waaay over a C-cup. ;)

Fun enough that i’ll try it.
