Family Pillow

And now, for an item from my “You’ve Got To Be Kidding Me” file.

I always enjoy when I’m out driving around, and the car in front of me has those stick figure window decals that shows everybody in the family. Especially when the decal has 14 children, 3 dogs and 2 cats. I start to feel sorry for the mom driving that car.

Now someone has taken that same window decal concept and decided to put it on a pillow.

And charge no less than $134 for it. These must be some really nice stick figures.

You pick out the figures from a selection of 38 characters. You pick where they’re placed on the pillow. And then you pay that outrageous price to have this in your home.

I’ll give them this: the pillow is made of 100% natural organic cotton and is filled with feathers and down. They use sustainable manufacturing practices to make this pillow. Kudos to you guys, truly.

But I still think $134 for a 14″ square pillow with stick figures on it is an outrageous price. My kids are no artistic prodigies, but I’m pretty sure I could get them a burlap sack, stuff it and let them draw their own stick figures on it for about $5 or less. And the figures would look way happier than the sad people pictured on the sample. I don’t want to be sad when I look at a pillow. I want to be happy and think about napping.
