Emerson Modern Dollhouse
I love dollhouses. I still have the traditional-styled dollhouse that my grandfather built for me. Right now, it’s collecting dust in my daughter’s closet. I hope one day, she’ll show some interest in playing with it.
But if she sees this Emerson Modern Dollhouse? Wow. She’ll forget about my dollhouse in a jiffy, because this is amazingly cool.
It kind of represents what we, as a modern society, should all be aspiring to live in: a house with solar panels, lots of natural light, non-toxic and lead-free wood stains and paints, and plenty of space that is multi-functional.
The Emerson Modern Dollhouse has six rooms: a living room, kitchen, library, master bedroom, bathroom and child’s room.
I love that they didn’t waste time including the seemingly uber-trendy media room, game room, bonus room, flex room, sunroom, and whatever the heck other kind of rooms builders add to McMansions these days.
The dollhouse measures 30″ by 18″ by 21″ – so it’s not big by any means. Easy to store! They also make little naked dollhouse people and super modern furniture to fit into this dollhouse.
Everything about this dollhouse is awesome except for the price. $329 for a dollhouse is a little bit steep for my blood – especially when I fully expect a child to try and destroy this item or Macgyver it into an ark or a soapbox car or something.
I admit it: I want a house that looks just like this in real life. A full-size version of this house for $329? I’d be all over it!
