Eco Nuts? Sounds weird, right? I don’t remember where I first heard about these “soap nuts” but the name immediately caught my attention. So I’m sure you want to know what they are now! Eco Nuts Soap Nuts are actually a berry that grows in the Himalayas that naturally produces a soap. The soap (called saponin), is a natural cleaner that Eco Nuts sells as laundry detergent that you can purchase in liquid or nut form.
Now, what I like about Eco Nuts is that they are 100% natural and organic, and fragrance free. They are gathered from wild trees grown without any kind of chemicals, fertilizers, or pesticides. One of my daughters has both sensitive skin and eczema, so I have to be very careful with how I wash her clothes. The soap nuts are also very mild, so you can also use them for baby clothes and cloth diapers.
While reading more about these on the Eco Nuts site, there was a little blurb that mentioned that the Soap Nuts don’t foam up like commercial soaps. Commercial soaps have artificial foaming agents, but there’s no reason for it – foam does not represent cleaning power.
Eco Nuts doesn’t just sell laundry detergent, they also sell other household cleaning products, as well as bath and body products (like vegan lip balm).
Reviews I read on Amazon.com were all very good. I think I’m going to order the trial size package for $12.99 to see how they work – good or bad. Would you or have you tried Eco Nuts products?
