Do You Know BOB?

Ah yes, the dreaded “E” word. Exercise. Something that I hate doing until I start doing it and get into the habit. Problem is, I find 101 excuses everyday to not get up and get moving. My latest excuse? The stroller I have to push the twins around in is just too big and bulky to try to walk with regularly.

The stroller I have right now is a beast – the thing is huge. It’s fine for shopping and being out and about. It is not fine for trying to exercise, and it’s possible that the thing weighs as much as I do.

So I’ve been looking at jogging strollers. Something easy to maneuver, that doesn’t weigh as much as I do, and that can handle different types of surfaces…the road, rocks, the sand – you get what I’m saying.

My issue now is which one to purchase? I’m one of those people that likes to read reviews and see how many stars a product gets before I buy it. I have been spending a lot of time reading reviews, checking prices, cross-checking against other site’s prices, and what I found was the BOB stroller.

Have you met BOB? Just about everybody I know that owns a BOB is in love with it.

I’m not gonna lie – these strollers are pricey…if you check the website, they each have their own MSRP! I felt like I was shopping for a car! But, the stroller seems completely worth the cost – and the reviewers seem to agree. I was looking at the BOB Gear 2011 Sport Utility Duallie Baby Stroller. It has incredible stability, can go anywhere, and is lightweight…exactly what I am looking for.

Do you have a BOB stroller or other jogging stroller? What would you recommend?

This may be contrary to your needs, but I’d ditch the 4-wheel drive, sport version of a double stroller, and just ride your bike more often!!!

Get one of those adorable kiddie sidecar covered carts that you attach and the kiddies can both sit together in comfort being pulled safely behind you as you go for a carefree, breezy ride. Less pushing, a little more weight to pull, but that’s good for your legs. :) Perfect for rides over the park, around the neighbourhood, along the boardwalk, etc.

Just a thought. If you already have a good stroller, why get another?

I do NOT have a BOB, but I would highly recommend it. Every twin mom I know either has one or wishes she had one, and from my experience with it, it’s well worth the money. When we went out for the day with our group of friends, I go the chance to test out my friend’s double BOB, and it pushed like butter. It was a dream. Seeing as my girls are 3, it’s a little too late for us, but I know many moms who use it until their twins are 4!
