Designer Disposable Diapers: Are They Worth $1.50 Each?

In the never-ending quest for the newest and best baby products out there, Designer Disposable Diapers have hit the market; that’s right, for $1.50 each, you can have diapers that say “Change Me” on the bottom.

Now, as a mom who goes through about 8-10 diaper changes a day, I’m looking at that potential weekly total and thinking, “boy, I’m glad I use cloth.”  You could be talking about more than $100 a week for diapers!

According to their Facebook page, these are meant as a high-end gift of sorts – one that is meant to illicit chuckles and oohs-and-aahs at showers, but I’m still not sold. Even my friends that have a great sense of humor really want practical things as they anticipate the birth of their children.

At any rate, if you know someone who would like such a gift, they can be found at babychix.com along with other fun gifts for babies and mommas alike. And you can feel good about your purchase because a portion of the proceeds will go to benefit one of several non-profit charities that babychix supports.

That’s ridiculous. A regular pack of diapers is already over $30 and that’s taxing to a weekly grocery budget as it is.

Designer diapers are just as silly as colored toilet paper and fancy-patterned, plastic dog-poop bags! I guess I should add that’s just MY opinion.

I think they are cute, actualy. I think i would enjoy them for a treat, once daily. after i have changed diaper number eight, i would put it on, just to give me the incentive to do it again with a smile time and time again.
