Decorating with your child’s art is a cheap and easy way to add personality to your home. If you have a child who likes to color, Deco Tech: Geometric Coloring Book from Dover Design has several wonderful patterns that are pretty enough to frame and display in your home. You’ll need to use document frames for your artwork, however, since the finished pictures are slightly bigger than a typical 8×10 print.

Deco Tech: Geometric Coloring Book features 30 mandala-inspired designs. The full page patterns are so enticing that you won’t mind spending the afternoon coloring with your little one.

What I like about coloring pages with patterns is that they’re fairly forgiving for kids who make “creative” color choices and don’t always stay inside the lines. Even if your son or daughter isn’t a meticulous colorer, the pictures still look appealing when they’re done.

(Despite my best efforts, I could never stop myself from cringing when my son showed me pictures of red grass, orange skies, and purple cows. His unique sense of color works much better for abstract art!)

If you buy from Amazon, this book is part of the popular 4-for-3 promotion. When you buy three selected titles, you can get the fourth item for free. There are several coloring books, as well as children’s story books and books for adults included in the offer. I take advantage of this promotion every couple of months to keep a stockpile of gifts on hand.

The 4-for-3 promotion is in addition to the free super saver shipping on orders of $25 or more. This total isn’t hard to meet when you’re buying three items, although throwing in an extra coloring book if necessary is usually cheaper than paying for shipping.
