As major comic book fans, my husband and I enjoy purchasing superhero themed toys for our son. The lack of female superhero toys always bothered me, however. Even though I’m raising a boy, I’d like to see him grow up to believe that women can be brave, strong, and confident, just like Batman and Superman. So, I was thrilled when I noticed that Fisher-Price recently came out with a DC Super Friends Line that includes Wonder Woman and Batgirl.
You can purchase Wonder Woman and Batgirl together in a two piece action figure pack, buy a Wonder Woman race car, or purchase a play set with Wonder Woman and her Invisible Jet. The DC Super Friends line also includes Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, and the Joker. Everything is made from quality materials and designed to promote creative play among toddlers.
I confess, I had to buy the Wonder Woman and Bat Girl set for myself because they were just too cute to pass up! They’ll be decorating my office until I have a daughter or decide to give them to one of my nieces.
Many of the items in the DC Super Friends line of Little People are available exclusively at Target or through the online Fisher-Price store. You can find them on Amazon or eBay, but the prices are marked significantly higher than they should be and you’ll be dealing with private sellers who may or may not deliver the goods in a timely manner.
