Cup Couture Cupcoats

It’s come to this, readers.

Coffee cup sleeves are now another opportunity to make a fashion statement. Aren’t you excited?

Why be unfashionable AND environmentally incorrect by sporting a boring, disposable brown cardboard sleeve when you can have your coffee cup express your personality and keep your coffee warm, time and time again?

This is an important development in fashion and the crusade to end global warming.

Cup Couture is bringing fashion to the coffee cup sleeve, one triple-shot non-fat no whip latte at a time.

Cup Couture manufacturers stylish coffee cup sleeves in a variety of styles and designs. The sleeves are thermally insulating, reusable and fit most coffee cup sizes.

The “cupcoats” are made with several different materials, depending upon style. Some are made with rubberized synthetics, some with waterproof T-shirt material and some….faux fur. I kid you not.

The “Diva” collection features sleeves fashioned after famous celebs, like the “Cameron” style pictured above. This one below is named after Zoe Saldana – it’s cute and bright, too.

The Beasts collection highlights animal prints, like this cheetah print.

There’s a line for men, too, featuring bold geometric prints and manly colors.

But perhaps my “favorite” (and I use this term loosely) is this Chinchilla style from the Glamorous collection.

Okay, I just don’t see myself wrapping what looks to be a small rodent around my coffee cup.  Faux-chilla hair in my mocha? No thank you, I’m trying to cut back.

Cupcoats run from about $12 to $18 depending on style.

I’m not sold on these, if you couldn’t tell. I could just as easily re-use the plain old cardboard sleeve from Starbucks and use the $12 for another few cups of my favorite joe. But maybe I’m just not that stylish?

If you want a chinchilla wrapped around your coffee cup, you can purchase Cupcoats at Cup Couture.

Bhahahaha! OMG, I seriously laughed at this post. That’s too much. And, sadly, I bet this sort of thing catches on with a certain type. Ridiculous.

Am I the only one who still brews her coffee at home and then takes it “to go” in a travel mug?

Being that im from the only ones out there who have an occasional cup, about once a week, gasp! this sleeve is not for me. But honestly, if we have to keep up with the race in cup sleeves too, that’s way over the top. Unless i’m trying to find a gift for my husband and i cant come up with anything at all, maybe i can try this.
