Create a Monsters, Inc. Nursery for Your Baby Boy

Although I love the Monsters, Inc. movie, it wouldn’t have occurred to to use this as inspiration for a boy’s nursery theme. Yet, somehow, I think this adorable Kids Line bedding set from the Toys R Us website works.

Even though most of us would think of monsters as too scary for a baby’s nursery, it’s hard to interpret this set as anything but cute and cuddly.

The bedding is cute and colorful, with lots of different textures for baby to enjoy. I would have personally gone with a darker color for the comforter background since I had trouble with my son’s light colored nursery bedding staining easily, but overall I think it’s a nice departure from the traditional sports-themed nursery options for boys.

I also like that it’s not immediately obvious that it’s based on licensed Disney Pixar characters. I had to look twice before my brain registered the blue monster as Sulley.

The Monsters, Inc. four piece crib bedding set sells for $159.99. It includes:

  • Comforter
  • Dust ruffle
  • Fitted sheet
  • Diaper stacker

Other Monsters, Inc. nursery decor items on the Toys R Us website include:

  • Mobile
  • Lamp
  • Wall decals
  • Blanket
  • Window valance
  • Crib bumper

What do you think? Would you consider a Monsters, Inc. themed nursery for your little boy or would you prefer a more traditional nursery theme?

The Monsters Inc. nursery is really adorable! I’d totally considerate it for a baby’s room.

This baby nursery bedding is so cute. I went with a jungle theme for my little boy’s room. I found a great deal on his bedding at Burlington Coat Factory. They have prices that are much better than any of the department stores.
