I kind of figure if my car’s going to be trashed on the inside no matter how often I try to clean it, at least it can smell good. I’m usually able to avoid going to Bath & Body Works, but in the fall, I lose all self-control thanks to the pumpkin and sweet, warm vanilla scents that always come out.
Unlike Pumpkin Caramel Latte and Pumpkin Cupcake, the Creamy Pumpkin scent doesn’t make me want to veer into any Starbucks or bakery parking lot for coffee and/or baked goods. It’s just sweet enough to wrap me in that fall scent comfort without making me hungry.
The scent throw is good, but not so strong that you have to roll the windows down for the first three days (I’m lookin’ at you, Sweet Pea). It’s also not as weak as one of the summery scents I tried, Pink Sangria, which I only noticed about 50 percent of the time.
Individually, the Scentportables are $3.00, but if you’re buying a few, you can save money. In addition to those 20 percent off coupons they like to give you when you checkout (which in turn makes me keep going back for moreâ€â€oops, they win), you can usually get a deal like buy three, get one free, or buy four, get two free.
These deals also include the cute clips you put the scent into before attaching them to your visor or wherever you’d like. I’ve always thought of Scentportables as just for cars, but the site points out that you can use them in your gym bag, luggage, drawers, closet, laundry basket, or pet areas.
I recommend this scent for a sweet, comforting pumpkin scent that won’t leave you wanting to eat all the baked goods in a five-mile radius. I recommend the Scentportables version because you can put it anywhere, it never needs to be lit, and you don’t have to worry about finding an outlet. Plus, I find that they last longer than Wallflowers, anyway.
