chasingfireflies.com: Where I Would Shop If I Could Afford It

I have told you before how much I LOVE getting magazines in the mail, but I didn’t mention all of the catalogs I get, too! One of my absolute favorite catalogs that I receive is chasing fireflies. I love this site, except it’s a little out of my price range . . .

According to the site, chasing fireflies  was created to celebrate childhood but also to celebrate parenthood. They have “taken great care in selecting magical children’s products that, we hope, will charm, surprise and delight. We love each and every one and sincerely hope you will, too.” Oh, I do chasing fireflies, I do.

Like this Hanging Tooth Fairy Pocket, what an ingenious idea! Instead of having to dig around under a pillow while your child sleeps, this wooden hanger with hangs on the doorknob, so the Tooth Fairy has easy access to your child’s tooth. And the tooth on the pocket even glows in the dark so she doesn’t get lost! Super cute idea, right? But how much would you be willing to pay for it? How about $28? No way would I pay that much!

Wall art is the newest, hottest thing for decorating . . . and it makes a lot of sense because you can redo your child’s room without having to repaint and redecorate completely. This 140 piece set comes with the letters of the alphabet so the wall can be personalized with your child’s name or anything she wants to spell. Love the idea, it doesn’t look cheap, but I’m not willing to pay $138 for it.

Take a look around chasing fireflies and tell me what you think . . . is it pricey or am I just cheap?!

I am cheap (hey, a Penny saved is a Penny earned, right! ;) ) and those prices are high. Items are cute, though.

I LOVE the Chasing Fireflies catalog but yes- it is so expensive. I think I keep it around for “someday” when I think I’ll actually be able to order from there~!
