Cate and Levi Sock Puppets

But when you can find a product that is both handmade and eco-friendly, it’s even better.

And when that product is an adorable, one-of-a-kind, whimsical toy that any kid will love? It can’t be beat!

These handmade sock puppets from Cate and Levi immediately charmed me.

I love these puppets! They were the original vision of a dad who was dismayed at the lack of unique and handmade toys when he began toy shopping with his then-pregnant wife.

If you can’t find it, make it yourself – and that’s exactly what this dad did.

Working out of Toronto, Canada, Cate and Levi puppets are made of reclaimed wool (yay!) and they use as many local materials as possible. The company philosophy is “leave the smallest possible pawprint on the planet.”

All of that is awesome. That every puppet is totally unique is awesome, too.

But they’re so dang cute, too!

Look at this adorable peek-a-boo puppet, which is operated by the pinky and pointer fingers and only the ears move. There are several different animal styles available with this puppet.

And I’m smiling just looking at this fantastic dog puppet. I think I may have even had a sweater with a pattern very similar to that used on the leg part of this sock puppet!

The peek-a-boo puppet is $25 and the main sock puppets are $30.
