Catalog Choice Opt-Out Service
How many catalogs do you get in the mail each week?
How many do you read, and how many do you toss without ever looking at them?
I often marvel at the amount of catalogs I receive…and what marketer thought that my family fit their particular demographic.
Unwanted catalog mail is clutter, it’s wasteful for the environment, and it’s just plain annoying. But how do you rid yourself of this daily hassle?
Catalog Choice, that’s how!
Catalog Choice is a free, online service that allows you to opt-out of receiving catalog mailers.
It’s easy. You sign up for your free account with Catalog Choice.
When you receive an unwanted catalog, take it over to your computer and log on to Catalog Choice. Search for that company via Catalog Choice’s alphabetical listing service.
When you find the company, you click on New Request and fill out your mailing information from the catalog label. It helps to use the catalog label because it has your customer number and source code on it, which can help the company find you in their database and more easily remove you.
Tell Catalog Choice why you’re opting out if you choose, hit submit, and your opt-out request is sent by Catalog Choice to the business. It takes about 90 days to remove some names from lists.
More than 3,000 companies are listed in the Catalog Choice database, and if you don’t find the company you want, you can request that it be added.
I really like how the site also tracks what the up-to-date environmental benefits are of reducing catalog waste.
It’s a great service that is a win-win for consumers and the environment! Go check it out at Catalog Choice.
