Brain Quest: A Fun Way For Your Child To Learn

With my four-year-old in preschool, I’ve been looking high and low for fun ways to help him learn his letters and sounds and all of the other fun things that he is learning right now. I am not the most creative person, so I look for easy ways to help him expand his imagination and to push himself to learn and experience new things . . . all the while hoping he’ll love learning as much as I do. Which is why I jumped for joy when I found Brain Quest workbooks and other fun activities.

Brain Quest workbooks are formatted to give young learners a boost in the areas of writing, reading, and using numbers. I found a Brain Quest Pre-K Workbook at Toys R Us and was super excited to get it home and try it out. This workbook is packed full of curriculum-based activities, exercises and games in every subject. It’s perfect because  it is reinforcing what he is learning in the classroom.

The layout is fantastic and includes sections on ABCs, 123s, tracing letters, mazes, shapes, colors, beginning sounds, sorting and matching, “what’s wrong with this picture” games and more. It also includes easy-to-follow explanations to help you explain the exercises to your child. The book makes learning fun, interactive and concrete. It’s written to help parents follow and explain key concepts. And yes, it really is helping!

Since I only send my son to preschool a few days a week, the days he doesn’t go are the days we pull out the workbook. He looks forward to it, and to him it’s fun. It’s great because based on what he’s learning, I can help focus and drive those concepts home.

But Brain Quest has so many other cool learning products too! If you have young children (the products are geared towards children up to 13 years old), I suggest you definitely check out Brain Quest!

Have you ever used Brain Quest products? What do you think of them?

I don’t know if I’ve used this brand, but definately, for kids who can’t wait to go to Kindergarten, these kind of workbooks can be a really great way to ease them into doing a little work that resembles what they’ll see in school.

As long as you don’t push it — I tried to do one page each day — they look forward to their “homework” and are happy when they are successful.

My son would love these, and so would his mom! I have some learning books for him but they are geared more for classroom learning. You have to see him begging for me to t each him. But the ever since i stopped classroom teaching I hardly have the guts to teach. This seems perfect.
