Blue Skull Tooth Fairy Pillow

Blue Skull Tooth Fairy Pillow

We are in the throes of tooth fairy-dom at our house. My 7 year-old has just lost his 5th and 6th teeth. Incidentally, he looks like a beaver right now.

But the minute a tooth gets wiggly, he begins playing around with it, eating apples (which he otherwise hates) and strategizing how he might get the tooth out faster. When it’s really loose, Dad comes to the rescue and puts him, and us, out of any further torture over it!

Thus far, I have only managed to lose one of his teeth after it’s been placed under the pillow. It was tooth #2. When he went to bed, I paid close attention to where he placed the tooth. A few hours later, it was gone. We got out a flashlight, searched under the bed, between the bed and mattress, within his blankets – everywhere – to no avail.

Someday I’m going to step on that thing and really hurt myself, I’m sure of it.

I should really get my son a tooth fairy pillow like this Blue Skull Tooth Fairy Pillow from Groovy Holidays.

It measures 6” by 6”. It’s cute. It has a blue plaid background with a generously-sized felt applique pocket. I think the addition of the skeleton is pretty whimsical.

It’s only $7.15, too! The Tooth Fairy Pillow comes in pink for girls as well.

I just wonder, though: does the bigger pocket mean that my kid’s going to expect more money? A dollar bill might get lost in there.

Anyway, you can go to Groovy Holidays’ website to view the Blue Skull Tooth Fairy Pillow.

Wouldn’t a pillow with a big grinning skull on it scare the little tooth fairy away?!

It’s certainly a good idea to have some kind of container for the tooth. Makes it easier for the tooth fairy to find it without waking the children up while fumbling around in the dark for it.

C’mon, a hundred dollars will get lost just the same. I am not spending both on an adorable pillow and on more money. A quarter a tooth, just like my mom (oops, i gave it away!) gave me.
