bINK’d Temporary Tattoo Earrings

Here’s another product from the “Why Didn’t I Find These Sooner?” files.

My daughter desperately wanted her ears pierced. So, we promised her that, for her 5th birthday, we’d take her to the mall and have the deed done. $39 and a crying child later, she had her ears pierced. Great! They looked adorable. But she whined every time I had to rotate the earrings or clean them.

Then, just two weeks ago, she came to me and said, “Look, Mommy, one of my earrings is gone.” Sure enough, one had fallen out somewhere. It’s gone.

And now, she has one ear pierced and doesn’t want to go back and get the other ear re-pierced. Great.

That’s why I ask, why didn’t I find these temporary tattoo earrings from bINK’d sooner? This inventive little product gives a child all the fun of wearing earrings like a big kid, with none of the hassle or pain of real earrings.

These work just like normal temporary tattoos. You apply them using a moistened cotton ball. They’re made with FDA-approved vegetable-based inks, so no worries there, either. They’re easily removed with a wet wipe, soap and water or baby oil.

The manufacturer says that bINK’d earrings will last up to 5 days. I’m not sure about that, considering the wear and tear a kid puts on anything, but at least you’re not spending lots of money on expensive earrings. These earrings come in pairs of 6, or 12 total, for about $5.95 to $7.95 depending on the style and can be purchased directly from the bINK’d website.

bINK’d temporary tattoo earrings can also be used on toys, nails, books, cars, baby doll and more, so boys can use them too. They come in scads of cute styles. Boys can select from sports or animal themes, along with rockets and buses. Girls can choose typical girly kinds like ice cream cones, hearts, flowers and stars. They have holiday themed earrings, too!

I’m thinking about picking some of these up for my daughter as a Christmas stocking stuffer. She constantly asks me to paint her nails, which of course peel off 2 minutes later. With bINK’d temporary tattoos, she can apply cool designs herself and really feel like the 12 year old that she thinks she is!

I think if you’re buying these to save money on expensive earrings then they’re a waste of money, as you only have to pay for earrings once and they last a lot longer. They are cute though and my 4-year-old and 2-year-old who don’t have pierced ears would love them. A bit on the pricey side though.
