BikeGlow Keeps Your Kids Safe

Summer is here, and the later sunsets keep kids outside later. And, often, the warm weather keeps them outside even after dark…and if they are outside on their bikes at dusk or when it gets dark, it can be dangerous – especially since most children’s bikes have only a small front and back reflector. And from the side? Children are almost invisible to someone in a car.

Never fear, BikeGlow is here! BikeGlow is a tube of lights that is wrapped around the frame of the bike. The lights can be set to just a constant or flashing light illuminating from the tube.

How does it work? On 2 AA batteries. BikeGlow uses electroluminescent technology and features bright colors for increased visibility from side. The battery housing is completely waterproof.

The tubes come in eight different colors and feature three lighting modes: Steady, Slow Flash, Fast Flash. Imagine the fun that your kids would have with this product!

BikeGlow was created by eco-friendly cycling enthusiasts in Santa Cruz, CA. They saw the need for bikes to be lit up, especially from the side, during darker hours. According to the reviews on the site, in the complete dark the bikes would be nearly impossible to miss, especially when set on the Fast Flash mode.

My son just started riding a bike, and I can’t wait to get this product for his bike. I think this is a fantastic idea for parents everywhere.

Would you give BikeGlow a try? Do you think the product is worth $24.95? I certainly do.

I think this is the best thing since PCs. First, the safety feature of it is ingenious. Second, kids will love this! I can just see them staying out after dark just to use the lights. They’ll feel so cool.

Holy cats, what a great idea! Fun to dress up a bike for a children’s parade, but even better for lighting up in those evening hours when the sky can get dark on you suddenly. Brilliant!

    Where can we get some?

I LOVE this idea! I do not think the price is to high and would love to get one for my daughter. She does not ride a lot at night. But I still think this is a great idea and also think kid’s would enjoy having this on their bike.
