BelVita Offers a Tasty and Convenient Breakfast Option
Although I love all types of breakfast food, I’m definitely not a morning person. I’ll happily eat pancakes and scrambled eggs for dinner, but I want something quick and easy when I wake up in the morning.
BelVita breakfast biscuits are one of the newer options for a convenient on-the-go breakfast. The biscuits are lightly sweetened and crunchy. They’re a cross between a cookie and a cracker.
BelVita biscuits are made with whole grains. They are a good source of fiber and designed to give you the nutritious sustained energy you need to make it to lunch. They contain no high-fructose corn syrup, no partially hydrogenated oils, and no artificial flavors or sweeteners.
There are four biscuits in each package and five packs of biscuits in a box.
Available flavors include:
- Golden oat
- Apple cinnamon
- Cinnamon brown sugar
I’ve only had a chance to try the apple cinnamon and golden oat flavors, but I thought both were really tasty.
If crunchy biscuits aren’t your thing, BelVita also makes soft biscuits in oats and chocolate and mixed berry flavors. I have not had either of these flavors, so I can’t speak to their taste.
I’ve been just eating the biscuits on their own, but BelVita suggests pairing them with a serving of low-fat dairy and fruit for a more complete meal.
Examples given on their website include:
- Fresh strawberries and non-fat Greek yogurt
- Apple slices topped with low-fat cheese
- Banana and a non-fat latte
- A frosty fruit smoothie made with low-fat Greek yogurt, frozen blueberries, and ice
