Believe Me, Your Kid Would Love A PlasmaCar (You Might Too!)

We spend lots of time outside with the kids riding around on things. Little cars that they push  with their feet, scooters, bikes with training wheels, and one of those electric trucks that runs on a battery that the kids still haven’t figured out how to steer yet. But my favorite of their ride-on toys is definitely the PlasmaCar.

If you haven’t seen or heard of the PlasmaCar, run over now and check it out! It’s like magic, and it is SO MUCH FUN to move around! Yes, I know this because I’ve gotten on my son’s PlasmaCar and he has a hard time getting it back from me! The PlasmaCar runs on something that all kids have a ton of: good old physical energy. You simply move your arms back and forth to make it go. The natural forces of inertia, centrifugal force, gravity, and friction then propel you around.

It is easy to operate, all you need is a smooth, flat surface (like the sidewalk). and can be used indoors or outdoors. There are no gears, batteries or pedals. It doesn’t require power-cells or liquid fuel – the only thing it requires is your energy-filled child (or semi-energy-filled adult!) It is totally quiet, and extremely safe to ride on. Children 3+ are perfect for it, though my 2 year old girls can get around, too!

The PlasmaCar can support up to 220 pounds, or120 pounds on rough, uneven surfaces. According to the website, on smooth, flat surfaces, the PlasmaCar can reach a speed of up to 6 mph! The PlasmaCar does fantastic on all smooth, flat, hard surfaces. It doesn’t work well (or sometimes at all) on carpet, grass, gravel, sand or any surface with give.

What are you waiting for?! Head over and check out the PlasmaCar website! One of these would make a great holiday gift!

I bought one for my three year old and use it for myself too! It’s fun. I only heard it has some dangers involved, so check it out before purchase. I think the genius who invented it is really smart.

The kids who have these always get envious looks from the kids who don’t! LOL And the one on display in the local toy store is ALWAYS being used by some kid or another zipping around the aisles! They are pricey, but look like fun!

My girls have played on a neighbors plasma car and they have wanted one ever since! I love that they use good old fashioned energy!!
