For those moms who don’t have the time or inclination to be all Martha Stewart crafty when it comes to lunches, have I found the bag for you! It’s a screen printed lunch bag by Beethings, certain to quell any rumblings (real or imagined) that you don’t actually have your s#@! together.
The Beethings snack sacks, available at Etsy, are sure to make your little one’s lunch stand out. No more crumpled brown bag, sitting on the shelf all sad and lonely.

You might, at first glance, think this frivolous and you might actually have a point. But, bear with me for a second as I go through the reasons why I think this bag is the bomb.
First, it’s adorable. I mean, who doesn’t like monkeys? And if monkeys aren’t your thing, then try the unadorned “Hello My Name Is” bag. Better than a simple sharpie, don’t you think?
Second, it’s disposable. Yes, yes, you can get a really great lunch box but what to do on those days when the lunchbox is forgotten at school (or camp or daycare)? Now you’ve got a back up!
Third, sending your kid off with a bag like this will make her feel like you’ve done something super special just for her. Yet, it won’t take you any more time than using a regular brown bag. Of course you COULD draw on a bag yourself, but who has the time or even the creative capacity to even come up with what to draw much less the time to draw it? In the morning, I think not.
The down side is that it’s expensive relative to other plain Jane paper bags. A ten pack of the Beethings snack sacks is $18.00, plus shipping.
Eventually your kid will absolutely NOT want his lunch to stand out from the rest of the crowd. But, in the meantime, maybe it’s time to take a monkey to lunch.
