My husband has always liked to tease me about the size of my purse. My handbag is huge because it always seems like everyone in our family relies on me to carry all the random items we need when we’re out and about.

I have granola bars for emergency snack attacks, crayons for long waits at restaurants, aspirin for headaches, tissues for runny noses…the list seems to go on and on. Since we seem to have a frequent need for first aid supplies, one item I plan to add to my stash soon is the Tomy American Red Cross Essentials First Aid Kit.

The Tomy American Red Cross Essentials First Aid Kit contains bandages, burn cream, antiseptic wipes, and other kid-friendly first aid essentials in a sturdy plastic travel case made from recycled materials.

All of the first aid supplies are latex free, so there’s no need to worry about an allergic reaction if your son or daughter is sensitive to latex. There is even a disposable thermometer and hand sanitizer, which are items I have not seen in many other first aid kits.

I like that this first aid kit features items that have been recommended by the Red Cross and it seems like it would be fairly easy to refill as needed. The company also donates a percentage of the profits from the kit sales to the Red Cross and its various charitable efforts.

What do you think of the Tomy American Red Cross Essentials First Aid Kit? Do you carry first aid supplies with you for tending to on-the-go cuts and scrapes?

That looks a lot smaller than my first aid kit!  And men wonder why our purses are so heavy :-)

What a clever idea…perfect for purses or to keep in the glove compartment of the car….
