My son loves Lego Ninjago and is planning to start taking karate lessons soon, so I had to smile when I first saw these ninjabread men cookie cutters. These adorable cookie cutters from Fred & Friends offer an unexpected take on a traditional kitchen classic.
Each cookie cutter measures 4 inches x 3 inches, so they are a nice size for passing out as treats for a birthday party or just enjoying as fun snack with a tall glass of milk.
I haven’t made the ninjabread cookies yet, but I like this idea because the ninja costumes seem fairly forgiving. I’m short on patience in the kitchen, so I tend to stay away from anything that looks like it requires hours of decorating. There are a lot of pictures of ninjabread men floating around Pinterest and most fall in the “quick and easy” decorating category.
If you’re thinking about picking up this cookie cutter set, I’d like to point out that the ninjabread cookie cutters are made of plastic. Some people prefer plastic because it doesn’t rust and is easier to clean. I personally prefer metal cookie cutters because they seem more durable, but I have plenty of plastic cookie cutters as well.
One tip I did notice when reading the online reviews of this product on various websites was that people recommended making sure you’re working with a stiff, chilled dough to get the sharpest impression. I’d also add that it’s a good idea to let your cookie sheet cool down between batches so that your ninjas keep their adorable shape.
