Art Cables Display Your Child’s Masterpieces
If you have a little artist in the house, I think this star art cable is a fabulous way to encourage his talents. The steel cable is 10 feet long and anchored by two decorative navy blue MDF stars. There are 10 clips included for hanging pictures your child has drawn.
The star art cable is available on the Pottery Barn Kids website for $39. It is an online exclusive item that is not available at retail store locations.
The only potential downside I can see to this system is that the cable seems kind of long and there is no mention of being able to adjust the length if needed. I’d probably hang it in the hallway, but it might be tricky to find a place for a 10 foot long artwork display if you live in a small apartment.
I love the idea of a hanging art display because it’s easy to change. I have a few frames for displaying my son’s artwork and a digital picture frame with some scanned examples of his drawings. But, keeping both of these displays updated takes effort.
A hanging display would be easy enough for him to change on his own and would ensure that we could enjoy all of his drawings without having them plastered to our refrigerator.
A hanging display like this would also work well for displaying family photos or scrapbook layouts, if you wanted to showcase more than just your child’s artwork.
How do you display and organize your child’s artwork? Do you prefer hanging displays or traditional glass frames?
