Arm & Hammer Offers a New Laundry Option for People with Sensitive Skin

If you have people in your family with sensitive skin, I’m sure you’ve figured out that you have to be really careful when it comes to choosing a laundry detergent. Everyone in my family has sensitive skin to some agree, but my son is particularly sensitive when it comes to the fragrance in laundry detergent.

I normally associate Arm & Hammer with baking soda, but they actually make a full line of laundry care products. One of their new offerings is a detergent for people with sensitive skin that has a fragrance that has been tested to be gentle and not cause irritation.

The dye-free detergent eliminates dirt and odors and can be used in both standard washers and energy-conscious High Efficiency (HE) models.

The scent is a light and clean “fresh linen” type fragrance that I love on our bedding and towels. It seems a little strong right out of the bottle, but is fairly subtle once the clothes are washed and dried.

After nearly eight years of fragrance free laundry detergent, it’s nice to crawl into a bed with nice smelling sheets!

Arm & Hammer laundry detergent is widely available and modestly priced, so it’s definitely worth trying out if you have family members with sensitive skin and don’t want to spend money on fancy detergents or give up the simple pleasure of having a fresh scent on your clothes.

I’ve been using Arm & Hammer for sensitive skin for about one week now. It cleans just as well as what I was using and the added scent doesn’t seem to bother anyone. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this might be able to replace our regular laundry detergent.

That’s great — will have to try it! I have been using fragrance free detergent for years, so it’d be nice to try something new!
